Privacy Policy — Kaptanım

1. What we collect

Account info: email address, full name, password (stored hashed).
Boat profile: boat name, type, registry number, current marina, boat photo and registration document (if you upload them).
Maintenance/fault records: descriptions, dates, costs, and any photos/documents you attach.
Sensor data: wind, pressure, temperature, fuel/water level readings from any device you connect to your boat.
Location: only if you enable the "anchor location sharing" feature yourself, your anchor position is shared with other users. This is off by default (opt-in).
Notification token: your device's push token, used to deliver reminder/message notifications.
KaptAI questions: questions you ask the AI advisor and your boat's context, used to generate a response.

2. How we use it

Data we collect is used solely to provide Kaptanım's core features (maintenance tracking, sensor dashboard, reminders, club/forum content, anchor sharing). We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

3. Where data is stored

Account and app data: a managed cloud database (Supabase/PostgreSQL).
Uploaded photos/documents: Cloudflare R2 object storage.
Transactional emails: Resend.
Push notifications: Expo Push Notification service.

4. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of your data. Send requests to [email protected] — we will fulfill account/data deletion requests within a reasonable time.

5. Children's privacy

Kaptanım is not designed for users under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

6. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time; material changes will be announced in-app or via email.
